RegRipper Update

I wanted to let folks know that I've posted the latest version of RegRipper to SF.net. The file you're looking for is "rr_2.02.zip".

There is no longer a break between the Basic and Advanced editions of RegRipper...I've done away with the Basic edition all together, and posted what used to be the Advanced version. The download package includes everything you need...the executables, source, RTFM docs (PDF, FAQ) and even a couple of simple batch files that show you how to use rip.exe to perform/automate some real simple tasks.

Development of RegRipper will continue. I still need to add more documentation to each plugin, along with Analysis Tips (explain why/how the data collected displayed may be important, etc.), as well as add the separate consolidation of timeline information (for use in analysis and graphing).

The power of RegRipper is in the plugins, and I can only go so far developing plugins myself. If you find that there's a plugin that you'd like to see, let me know. Please keep in mind...sample data is far more helpful than a description.

As always, if you have any thoughts, questions, comments, etc., please feel free to drop me a line.

Hi Harlan, Good Memorial Day to you and yours.

I've been trying to download the latest version from SF but it just won't flow. Tried different mirrors and some give 404 errors and others just sit. Even in different browsers. Maybe it needs some more time to replicate? Not sure how SF uploading/distribution works.

Looking forward to taking it outside to play!

Claus,

You're right...I tried it myself and got the same thing. Odd.

I'm going to give it until tomorrow...when I was trying to upload this morning, I kept getting some "we're undergoing maintenance" pages, but then things cleared up. If it's not working properly tomorrow, I'll see what I can do to contact SF.net support.

Claus,

Don't remember if you're a member, but I also uploaded a copy of RegRipper 2.02 to the Win4N6
Yahoo Group.

Yep, sf.net didn't work for me either, so I got it just now from the Yahoo Group. Seems like sf has been a little off lately, not just today. At least that's been the case for me.

Well, it is good thing that SF.NET didn't work...:) I didn't know that there is an e-mail list Win4N6. I just sent my request to become a member.

Cheers,
Caner

Harlan.

Just snagged it from SF.

Downloaded perfectly fine and very fast.

I saw that it looks like you have removed the earlier versions. True?

Can't way to play!

Cheers!
